Devonshire, relentless Bracknell Town and Binfield kick-off home campaign
A peruse through the weeks action from new verbs to cricketing goalkeepers.
Midweek football got off to a fine start on Monday night as Bracknell Town romped to a 4-1 win at home of Harrow Borough.
A breathless display from the Robins saw George Knight impress our man Neil Maskell at Bottom Meadow, and he’s filed his report here.
To Tuesday night then, and there are plenty of matches around the area with a particular interest in Binfield’s first home game of the season against Surrey rivals Chertsey Town.
Both sides got off to three-point starts on Saturday with Joe Gater giving the Moles a 1-0 win at Ashford Town.
Kick off at Hill Farm Lane is 7:45pm. Tickets are available in advance online via the Football in Berkshire Ticket Store here.
Elsewhere there are a couple of midweek FiB derbies including Virginia Water against Wokingham & Emmbrook at Stag Meadow and Sandhurst Town at home to Woodley United at Bottom Meadow. Details on all the midweek fixtures are here.
