A message from the Editor & Merry Christmas
A huge thank you to all our readers, Merry Christmas
NEWS | FEATURES | FIXTURES & SCORES | A TRIBUTE TO CLIVE MCNELLY
It’s been awhile. It feels like it’s been that kind of year for us.
Changing circumstances around the team here - me included - mean I feel like it’s been a much slower shift content-wise from Football in Berkshire this year. Maybe you’ve noticed, maybe you are quite content - but FiB certainly isn’t going anywhere and we’re looking to put a few things in place to rectify that next year.
From January, we’ll be inviting clubs to submit Match Reports to the website, club notices and more - you can do it currently here - but it’s not the finished product yet. We’ll be sending out a wider note to all Berkshire clubs in January about this service which we believe will be of benefit to them.
There’s also - obviously been some changes in social media platforms external to us - and we are keeping up with the times. We are on Bluesky and we have a WhatsApp channel and group which you are welcome to join.
Fancy sharing an opinion? We’re looking for your thoughts on your club for 2024 - fill out the form with your review of the year here.
We are also always looking for new contributors. Writers, video, podcasting. We’ve got a great platform built up over nearly nine years now - if you feel like you’ve got something to offer us then we’d love to hear from you. Email tom.canning@footballinberkshire.co.uk and let me know what you are interested in.
The Berkshire Football Awards will return of course. The venue and date is booked - as is Paul Watson.
I also wanted to say thank you to the FiB team for being brilliant and contributing to this wonderful network we’ve got. All that’s left is to say Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year - oh and enjoy all the football!
